03 Sep KANSAS CITY STOP ON THE ROAD TO VALUES
On Saturday the 12th, I had the wonderful opportunity to revisit an old stomping grounds—Barnes and Nobles on the Country Club Plaza. Except this time, I went as an author, not a customer. It was very meaningful for me to start my tour here. This Barnes and Nobles was one of the places where I spent an enormous amount of time sitting between the rows of books in the self-improvement section.
During that time of my life, I didn’t have the money to buy books. As such, I would arrive early in the day and locate a “comfy chair” to nestle in for a long day of reading. I would spend hours poring over every word that I thought would help me on my journey toward healing the pain of my life. This time of my life was one of the precursors to my book, Back to the Basics: 5 Core Values Revitalized. It was beautiful walk back in time to remember where I once was and how far I have come. Thank you Libby from Barnes and Nobles and all the wonderful people who stopped by get their book signed or just have a chat.
